Peter Blair was born c1909 in Govan, Glasgow, Scotland. He matriculated into the Faculty of Arts at the University of Glasgow in 1926 where he studied English and Moral Philosophy. His second year subjects were English, History and French. His third year classes were British History and junior honours English Literature and English Language.
